YEH
PANES
|
Yeh Panes is
another hot spring water in Bali located in Penatahan Village, Penebel
subdistrict, Tabanan regency. If you depart from Denpasar, it takes about 41
kilometres by car. The uniqueness of this site is in the background where the
visitors can enjoy green rice terrace whilst soaking in the hot water. The
hot spring bathing pool is situated in the bank of Ho River (Sungai Ho) and
from here visitors can see a beautiful waterfall and the resource of the hot
water. According to the temple guard, the hot water of Penatahan is bursting
out from the centre of the temple and under the banyan tree. The uniqueness
of this hot spring is that the water resource is purely coming out from the
temple where most hot springs are from volcanos. Thus, it makes the Penatahan
hot spring a must see site while you are in Bali.

BATUKARU
TEMPLE
|
Pura Luhur
Watukaru (Batukaru) is one of Sad Khayangan Temples nestled on a plateau with
lush tropical garden in the surrounding. The temple is located at Wangaya
Gede village, Penebel subdistrict, Tabanan regency. It takes about 1.5 hours
from Denpasar airport or a couple of minutes from the hot spring. This temple
was a sacred and royal temple of Tabanan Kingdom. It was built in the 11th
century by Mpu Kuturan, a Hindu sage who founded the building of six main
temples in Balil. As one of Sad Khayangan temples, Batukaru Temple has a
tranquil and beautiful ambience as it is surrounded by tropical rain forest
that gives fresh air and severe religious nuance. Throngs of pilgrimage fill
up this place once it falls to the holydays or temple festivals. The ceremony
falls on Thursday, Wreaspati Umanis Wuku Dunggulan, a day after Galungan
holyday.

Taman Ayun
Temple is a royal temple of former Mengwi Kingdom which is located in Mengwi
village, Tabanan regency. If you go by car, it will take about 18 kilometres
to get there. Roads to get there are always busy and much pollution; however,
once you get to the site you will get mesmerised, first by a building that
looks like floating on the water. Once you cross the bridge and enter the
temple, you will be welcome by a huge beautiful garden in the front
