BATUAN
|
Located not too far from Celuk, Batuan
village offers a very unique site which is hardly found in any other part of
the island. That is an original traditional Balinese house that still exists
up to now and bears the old Balinese house nuance. The house if compared to
any other houses around its neighbourhood looks very different. A traditional
nuance starts catching your eyes from the outlook of the house. The wall that
surrounds and the gate to enter the house are kept traditionally. Even if you
come inside, you will feel like being taken back to the old time Balinese
life. The house temple, Bale Daje, Bale Dangin, Bale Dauh and Bale Delod are
so traditional. You can see from the wall of the building, the roof, the
pillars, the floors are so old. You have to see and feel the real atmosphere
being in the real traditional house.
